Morienval Abbey and its rose garden

Abbey founded in the ninth century by Benedictine nuns, the church of Morienval, a masterpiece of Romanesque art was built around the middle of the eleventh century. The church holds an exceptional position among the religious monuments of the Oise and Valois.

In 2014, the Abbey of Morienval opened to the public the first rose garden dedicated to floral directory of David Austin with 1600 roses and 154 varieties.

In this enchanting setting with contemplative aesthetic of English gardens, roses from David Austin tell their fabulous destiny by resurrecting the past of this former royal monastery.

On the program: a Rose Center and a shop dedicated to House and Garden and a tearoom embellish the visitor's journey.
